AMAZING straightener ---- I have tried the Solia and found that my curly yet thin, FINE hair wasn\'t grabbed by the plates enough, and my hair never came out sleek or shiny. I had a jilbere for 3 years which worked fine until I stepped on it (it was a gold ceramic one) but probably damaged my hair in the process.
I have also tried the Chi, which i would NOT recommend unless you have EXTREMEMLY THICK/CURLY/COARSE hair. If you have flat, thin, hair (even if its slightly wavy/curly like mine) the volume will be zipped FLAT with the chi.
Hence, this iron has worked WONDERS with my hair. Still preserves the volume, and gives impeccable shine! One of my coworkers asked me if I got a blowout with this iron! That\'s how good my hair looked (and she\'s seen my hair straightened with irons before). My sister also commented on how unusually shiny my hair was (i have hypothyroidism and hence, very dry coarse hair). A definite MUST for any hair connoisseur. I have shiny, straight, and most importantly, HEALTHY looking hair! Best value for the price out there!
