My roommate called my new iron "a baby"...because it's small and light. AND FAST. I straightened her hair with better results than the Chi. I've always been a diehard fan of the Chi, but this iron is my favorite. It's really lightweight and leaves my hair shiny and smooth all day long. I've owned a hai, chi, corioliss, and the karmin is the best. It gets hot fast, and I can't wait to try it on my friend's afro! hehe..If you're looking to get this..Please do. I have long hair..but it's fine type...
