For the past year I have been using a ceramic hair iron, so the moment I received these Karmin's Titanium I had to try one to see if it could possibly get any better. I was blown away with just the look of these irons, the plates are like glass, extremely smooth and glossy. As usual the iron heated up within seconds and was ready to be tested.

Now, I have frizzy hair, down to the middle of my back and although my hair is pretty healthy I do have damage from wearing in it in a pony tail. I got my karmin straightener today...had to wait for 2weeks, even tho im in Ontario...but i guess it was worth it lol cz its awsum!! ;) i have thick, long hair...but they were pin straight in 10minutes...loved the way they just glided thru the plates. The straightener took only 10sec to heat up...and left my hair smooth and silky!..

First off I want to say the customer service on this website was excellent. I received my Karmin Hair Straightening Iron but it didn't seem to be getting as hot as I was expecting and it wasn't straightening my wavy hair. I returned the iron for an exchange and when I got my new Karmin Iron it was obvious the first flat iron was faulty as this iron gets pretty darn hot! It does smooth my hair out and leaves it silky and shiny but where I live it is very humid and by the end of the day I do have a bit of frizz but not as much as I am used to!..

The Karmin Titanium Hair Iron is a great value and a very good flat iron. I just recently cut my hair into a bob hairstyle and because it looks so much better straight I need a flat iron. I just got this straightener yesterday and I have only tried it on a few chunks of hair but what I have done looks great. I have thick, coarse, curly hair and it straightened my hair perfectly on one pass. It also looks shiny, healthy and frizz free where I straightened and it is quite humid today! It was very smooth and easy to use. I\'m really happy!

This is the best product ever. I bought it for my daughter and she loves it. She has pure african american hair that's natural, unrelaxed and this product did its job. Her hair was so smooth it was unbelievable. It looked like she relaxed it and now she will never relax her hair because you can achieve even better results witht the karmin titanium straightener. I was a little disappointed in hearing that this iron was on back order when I first bought it, but My Hair Styling Tools offered me a discount for waiting which was extremely thoughtful. Once I received my iron, which didn't take as long as I expected, I was blown away with the results! AMAZING straightener ---- I have tried the Solia and found that my curly yet thin, FINE hair wasn\'t grabbed by the plates enough, and my hair never came out sleek or shiny. I had a jilbere for 3 years which worked fine until I stepped on it (it was a gold ceramic one) but probably damaged my hair in the process.
I have also tried the Chi, which i would NOT recommend unless you have EXTREMEMLY THICK/CURLY/COARSE hair. If you have flat, thin, hair (even if its slightly wavy/curly like mine) the volume will be zipped FLAT with the chi.
Hence, this iron has worked WONDERS with my hair. Still preserves the volume, and gives impeccable shine! One of my coworkers asked me if I got a blowout with this iron! That\'s how good my hair looked (and she\'s seen my hair straightened with irons before). My sister also commented on how unusually shiny my hair was (i have hypothyroidism and hence, very dry coarse hair). A definite MUST for any hair connoisseur. I have shiny, straight, and most importantly, HEALTHY looking hair! Best value for the price out there!..

I really like this karmin. It takes less than 30 seconds to heat up, and less than 15 minutes to straighten my hair. I straighten it every day. My hair is naturally frizzy and curly/wavy. I purchased a Karmin Flat Iron 3 weeks ago from myhairstylingtools.com. I color my roots every 2 weeks due to premature grey hair and have been doing so for the past 20 years. My hair is dry and frizzy therefore I have been using a drugstore curling iron to achieve some sort of a hair style 6 days a week. Okay, so I\'m 16 and mixed with black and white. I usually get my hair pressed at a salon every 2 weeks. So my hair totaled up to 90 dollars a month. yeah...plus my parents were paying for it, god forbid I got in trouble and they threatened to not pay for my hair that month. This is a very good straightener in my opinion. I used it at the highest temp, and it cut about 30 minutes off my straightening time while doing a very good job. It's not perfect: my hair still shines like it's been straightened, and I don't know what to do about all those fuzzies on top of my head, though those things could be due to the health of my hair? I debated a long time about which flat iron to get - the Solia or the karmin. I chose the karmin and I am very happy with it. Before this flat iron, I have owned a Conair (horrible) and a Jilbere - I had that one for three years and liked it a lot. But, by comparison, the karmin is much better. My ends are so much softer now than they were using the other irons. Far fewer split ends. It only takes about ten minutes to straighten my hair - or less. I like the temperature control, too..

This is a fabulous straightener! I\'ve had mine for a long time and it still works as well as when it was new. I\'ve even dropped it (more than once) and it still works great. I would gladly have paid more for what I\'ve gotten. I of all people am V-E-R-Y picky when it comes to how straight my hair comes out. I like for my hair to come out stick straight with no lumps what so ever. I have really thick coarse hair and I've used other straighteners that left my hair kind of straight yet still puffy. I liked it cause it left my hair looking shiny and really soft. My cousin had let me have her Karmin iron and I had only used it for a week and it left my hair really dead at the ends. I was even using a protectant spray! The karmin did not do that at all. It took me 20 minutes to do my hair compared to an hour! If you are not sure if this is the straightener for you trust me it is! On new years eve everyone was complimenting me on my hair. I even fell asleep with my hair straight and when I woke up it was still straight. With all my other straighteners I would have straighten my hair over and over. I read your reviews and noticed that I will be the first guy to write one. Well good thing I chose a different first name I suppose! I have long hair and am in a band. I have the thickest curliest hair of anyone I have ever known. A friend suggested this iron to me and I just laughed. Well, the other nite I had to babysit for her and found her Karmin lying on the bathroom counter, yes, I turned it on and used it. Only cause I was bored to death (I mean baby was sleeping) I turned it on, opened the bathroom mirror to grab something, came back to the iron and it was hot. HOT already, how in the heck is that possible, I mean 5 seconds maybe 6,but Hot? I can't quite explain how something heats up that fast. Okay anyways I pulled up a section of hair put the iron to the test, hmm, wow, that's kinda straight, did it again, hmm wow, that is like totally straight. This flat iron is the most best one I have used, and i have used a lot. I have a ton of hair and it is curly so finding a flat iron that works hasn\'t been easy. I turned it on and I swear it only took about 10 secs. to heat up and I was surprised. When I was all done, I thought for sure I would have to re-do throughout the day but I didn\'t have to. I got my Karmin about 5 months ago, I have just been too busy to actually sit down and write a review, so here goes. After approx. 2 months of use I stopped using it, only for a short while. I was getting very dry ends, especially at the back. When I went to my hairdresser, she had asked me if I was using a straight iron and what temperature I was putting it at. When I told her that I had been using my iron at full temp. she told me that was the reason I was getting badly dried out hair. You see, if you have fine thin hair, you need to use a lower temperature. After getting my ends cut and a few deep conditioning treatments, I started using it again, PROPERLY, and it is working great. My hair, after 2 months of use, is not damaged in any way. It keeps my stragglers down and hair looking healthy. So a note to all you who have thin fine hair, use a lower temperature!..

I have thin hair that is very porous, meaning it drys out real fast because it sucks up all the moisture. Even after curling it, my hair still has that kind of frizzy look to it. It seems that because the temperature goes higher on the karmin it is able to straighten (or curl as a matter of fact) and keep hair looking healthy. It doesn\'t get the frizzy look. First time this has happened to my hair I\'m Happy.....

My Karmin Hair Straightener arrived a few days ago, and as soon as it did it opened it and plugged it in. First thing I noted was it heats up fast, second thing is that when I grabbed a chunk of my hair and put the straightener to use, it just kind of slid right down my hair, that was surprising. I have healthy thick wavy hair, just past my shoulders. So I cannot say that my hair looks healthier, or feels healthier, because it always has, but I can say my hair is straight as a board! I have thick wiry, course hair. I have used a lot of different hair straighteners in the last couple years. I couldn\'t find one that actually straightened my hair. There always seemed to be alot of pulling my hair out..I mean from the actual iron! and not too long later my hair would start to frizz. I tried a technique my friend told me and that was to use frizz eaze and then either blow dry my hair or wait till it dried and then use the Karmin hair straightener. Well, I tried this and this is the first time that I have ever been happy and felt comfortable wearing my hair down. It feels so soft, it looks so healthy. I have had many people comment on how great it looks and they look at me in disbelief when I tell them I did it myself with my new iron. It heats up quick too, I mean in just a few seconds. As an African American girl my hair is nappy, thick and super curly so I am pretty skeptical about any hair straightener. I have tried a few different brands and wasn't really impressed with the results. A friend of mine just bought a Karmin and I tried it out and wow, it actually worked. My daughter has extremely thick hair and this iron leaves her hair really smooth with very little effort.Her hair is also not "fried" after frequent use. I was actually looking for a curling iron when I came across the blog post about curling your hair with a hair straightener. I really liked the idea of such a versatile hair styling tool so I decided to try the Karmin. Wow, what an amazing hair iron, my hair has always been hard to curl, the curls never lasted but after using this iron they lasted all day! I love the shape of curls it gives too, so far I have learned 3 different styles. The flat iron also gets rid of all fly aways and leaves my hair soft and shiny. I decided to buy this flat iron after reading the reviews on many different brands. This one had just as great reviews as the CHI and GHD but a way better price. I am very happy with my purchase. It arrived quickly, and works wonders on my curly hair. I also love that it has temperature control because my hair is fine and has some damage from coloring it all the time. This is by far the best flat iron I have ever used! I owned a FHI and it does not even compare to this one. The last hair straightener I used (Sedu Revolution) pulled and snagged my hair and on top of that took me almost an hour to straighten my hair and my hair isn't that curly! I returned it and decided to try this one instead and am so happy I did, I love it!..

I love my new hair straightener! My hair is thick, coarse and in ringlets and I usually get it relaxed but it was taking a toll on my hair so I decided to stop being so lazy and use a hair straightener. It gets hot fast and works pretty quick too (my hair is really curly so takes me a little longer) I also love that my hair stays straight all day and the next day I only have to go over a few spots and I'm good to go...

My hair is actually straight but I bought this flat iron to curl my hair after being told by my stylist that a hair straightener can be used as a curling iron. I have always had a problem with curling my hair, a curling iron just doesn't work for me, I will get great curl and then they go limp within an hour. This Karmin flat iron makes gorgeous curls(better than I expected from a flat iron) and they hold ALL DAY! It's also really easy to use as a curling iron too, (I just followed the instructions on this site). I would definitely tell anyone to go with a Karmin...

My daughter, who is 10, has very beautiful hair but you know kids, never happy with what they have. She thinks it's too 'poofy' and says the kids make fun of her hair so I decided to let her try a hair straightener. I decided to finally buy a professional iron and found the Karmin on the internet. I cant believe how much time I had been wasting with that Conair!
