April 10, 2009 by tracy · Leave a Comment

Some women read on the internet just how easy using a hair straightener is and how simple it is to run the plates down your hair to create those smooth straight hairstyles that are so popular now on the red carpet and the runway. But for some no matter how hard they try with their hair iron their hair just does not come out looking good when they use the straightener on their hair. Some immediately blame the iron for the problem, and in some cases for those using cheap drugstore models, than that is probably the case. While for others who are using quality hair irons the answer is more likely to be in how they are going about straightening those locks.

Luckily just as there are plenty of web pages that talk about how easy to use flat irons are there are also those that talk about flat irons problems and solutions. These pages will help with things like what to do when the straightness comes out of your hair before your day is over, why your hair may be either excessively oily or excessively dry when you are using an iron, and so much more. Hair irons are very effective at straightening hair with a little practice and know how.

Love What You Have

Hair styles change so quickly, that it’s hard to keep up with what is currently in style and what’s out of style. It generally depends what hot celebrity wore her hair in a certain way on the red carpet at the latest awards show. But what doesn’t go out of style or change with any frequency is the natural hair that you were born with. Sure, it’s easy to say that you would like a different type of hair. After all, we all seem to want what we don’t have. But, it’s much more effective and better for your self esteem if you learn to embrace what you were born with and learn how to love it.

For better or worse, we were all born with a certain type of hair. Some of us have naturally curly hair, while others have bone straight hair. It seems that we are always yearning for what we don’t have. And sure, it’s great to grab your hair tools and mix it up a little bit giving your normally curly hair a straight look, but what’s wrong with your hair every day looking the way nature intended it? Nothing.

I believe that you should never wear your hair the same every day. After all, that gets boring and isn’t it more exciting to keep people guessing and wondering what you’re going to do? But the first thing you need to do is love the hair you have. Even if it’s not the style that you would have given yourself had you been handing out the hair styles, it’s your hair and you’re stuck with it. So if you have naturally curly hair, instead of using your hair straightener every day, why not wear it curly some of the time? After all, those of us with straight hair will go green with envy for your beautiful natural curls.

Likewise, if you have straight hair, you don’t have to spend all that time in front of the mirror with your curling iron creating luscious waves, because straight hair is sexy too.

When it comes to the thickness of your hair that is something that you can’t really do much about. Those people born with thin hair often bemoan the fact that they want more body in their hair, and would love to have it thicker. But think about the other side of that. If you have thick hair, it can take more than twice as long to blow dry it, it becomes tangled, and often it will look puffy because there’s so much of it. Never mind how hard it can be to pull it back into a simple pony tail. There are always two sides to everything, and as women, we often forget to look at what we have and appreciate it. It’s too easy to covet something that we don’t have.

Hair tools are great, and I think that everyone should have a professional hair straightener and curling iron in their arsenal of styling tools, because they give us options. We can magically turn our naturally curly hair into a sleek style one day and wear it free and curly the next day. But no matter what type of hair tool you have, and what style you create, learn to love what nature gave you because you are the only one with hair like yours.

So you’re choosing a new hair straightener and trying to decide between some of the top brands? It can be hard to make a final decision, but once you have it narrowed down, you’ve done the hard part. Some of the top brands that you may have to choose from are GHD vs. Karmin Titanium. These are two of the best selling hair straighteners on the market today and both have a great deal of excellent features.

The GHD hair irons are widely used by stylists and celebrities to create the sexy sleek styles that you see on the red carpet. GHD is known as being one of the first hair irons to utilize ceramic technology. Using ceramic in their plates allows the iron to heat up very quickly and maintain a constant temperature which means that you will not burn your hair, or get hot spots that make it difficult to style your hair.

They have refined their ceramic technology even further which means that a GHD hair iron will lock in your hair’s natural moisture, protecting color and sealing in hair oils that will make your hair look healthy and shiny.

The new redesigned barrel has a uniquely curved barrel so you can easily use your GHD hair iron to create a variety of hair styles including flips, twists and curls and still be able to straighten it easily and beautifully.

The GHD hair straightener has new and improved circuitry which helps the iron maintain it’s temperature, heating up to it’s maximum temperature every millisecond which means that you are ensured the temperature will be constant from your scalp to the tips of your hair. A built in microprocessor regulates the temperature in the plates five times a second to ensure it stays constant.

When you’re comparing the GHD vs. Karmin Titanium, you will find that while the GHD hair iron has a great deal of features, so does the Karmin Titanium. The Karmin hair iron uses titanium plates that are as smooth as glass, but as tough as steel. This iron utilizes negative ions and infrared heat which penetrates each hair and locks in the natural oils, keeping your hair looking silky and shiny after styling. The infrared heat removes static, so you can say goodbye to frizzy, fly away hair.

Because the Karmin Titanium hair iron uses ion field technology, each negative ion infuses the hair for a deep, long lasting straightness that you cannot find with other hair irons. So not only will your hair be straight, but it will straighten quickly and stay that way. You don’t have to worry about your hair becoming frizzy, or damaged looking.

The Karmin Titanium iron is easy to style with, so you can create curls, flips, flicks and of course straight styles all with one iron.

It can be extremely hard when you are choosing between a GHD vs. Karmin Titanium hair irons; however both irons are exceptional products that will give you the beautiful results that you are looking for with your hair.

Some women use their hair straightening iron perfectly and get those sleek tresses that are so popular right now on the red carpet. And of course if you live somewhere where the humidity is especially high than use a shine serum to help battle the extra moisture in the air and keep those locks straight and beautiful all day long. These tips should help you look your best with this great hairstyle that so many women want to have.
