Choose Hair Irons Over Chemicals

January 21, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

If you were born with hard to manage, curly, out of control, and frizzy hair, there is no doubt that you probably like to straighten it from time to time. But do you straighten it every day? Some people like to use a hair iron everyday to straighten their hair and while this can be fine if you use the right iron, it also may be damaging your hair if you are using a low quality hair iron or aren’t using it properly. Many ladies consider chemically straightening their hair because they think it will be easier than using a hair straightener everyday and others feel that using a chemical straightening process will be gentler on their hair.

Before you make the decision to use chemicals to straighten your hair, you need to really think about it. How could it be possible that using chemicals on your hair would be safer or gentler than using a hair iron? It’s not possible. The fact is, you are putting chemicals on your head and letting them sit. This isn’t good for you, or your hair. After chemically straightening your hair, sure your hair will be straight, at least for a little while. But at what cost? Your hair will be damaged, broken, frizzy and may suffer permanent damage that will take a considerable amount of time to grow out. Sure you want straight hair, but I’m assuming that you would rather have healthy and shiny looking straight hair instead of damaged and broken straight hair.

So what’s your other alternative? The other choice, the better choice, is to choose a high quality hair straightener that will be gentle to your hair while getting the job done. If you think that a hair straightener will damage your hair if you use it every day, than you are not using the right type of hair iron.

You need to choose a hair straighter with ceramic plates. Ceramic plates infuse the hair with moisture locking in shine to leave your hair looking healthy and shiny. Another thing to look for in a hair iron is tourmaline. If you are truly worried about damaging your hair with a hair iron, look for a straightener with tourmaline. Tourmaline is a naturally occurring element that produces negative ions. Negative ions infuse each hair with moisture and seal in the natural oils in the hair. These ions also seal the cuticle shaft which allows the hair to lay flat so you won’t get any of that frizzy hair, and it will look shiner and healthier than ever because it will be healthier than before. Yes, a hair straightener can actually improve the health of your hair if you have the right one.

So before you make the big decision to chemically straighten your hair, consider all of the facts. Some people are put off by the cost of a professional hair straightener. But when you consider that these irons typically have very long warranties, sometimes even life warranties, and they improve the health of your hair, it is a small price to pay. If you were to choose chemically straightening your hair, it would not only be a large cost, but you would have to pay for it repeatedly and it would ruin your hair. It seems like a fairly easy decision to me. Choose healthy beautiful hair.

Chemical Straighteners vs. Hair Straighteners

It’s inevitable; you want to change your hair style from time to time everyone does. But what if you have curly hair and you want to make it straight? You do have a few options available to you depending on what you are trying to achieve with your hair. Some people choose a chemical hair straightener over a hair iron because they think that straightening the hair permanently is the way to go. But what about the dangers of chemical hair straighteners? Is it safe?

Safety is definitely a concern when it comes to using a chemical hair straightener, because you are putting chemicals on your head and when there are chemicals involved there is always a concern for your health as well as your hair. Before any stylist uses a chemical hair straightener they should do a strand test. And why do you think they have to do a strand test? Well, because chemicals can cause harm, and by doing the strand test they are trying to determine how much damage will occur.

When you use chemicals on your hair they will almost certainly cause damage to your hair. And why would you want to damage your hair in the quest to create a beautiful style? That seems a bit backward. You should want to create a beautiful style, not a dry, damaged, frizzy style.

So what’s your other option? A hair straightener of course. One simple tool can straighten your hair safely, easily and not only will you be able to create the style you are looking for but your hair will look phenomenal as well. That’s because using a high quality hair straightener, one that utilizes the power of ceramic, titanium and tourmaline will actually improve the look of your hair. A quality hair straightener will infuse your hair with powerful negative ions that work to lock in the natural oils and shine in your hair cuticle allowing it to lay flat on your head. So not only will your hair be straight, it will be healthy, shiny and more beautiful than before. Forget the frizzy, over processed look.

Some people think that it will be easier and more convenient to use a chemical straightener. That way they can wake up every day and their hair will be straight without any effort. However, despite the risks to your health and the health of your hair, there are other issues involved with chemical straighteners. Your hair will require touch ups every few months, and the look is permanent. This means that if you decide that you want to wear your hair curly for a change, you’re out of luck.

And if you think that using a hair iron is not easy or fast, you are wrong! A quality hair straightener will straighten your hair out quickly and effectively which means that you can straighten your hair out every morning achieving the style that you want with minimal effort. And as an added benefit, your hair will be shiny, and healthy as well as sexy and sleek.

You do have choices when it comes to straightening your hair, but the only real choice for straightening your hair in a healthy way is a quality hair iron.

So many women use many types of salon hair products on their hair and they neglect to realize that all the chemicals and agents in these products may be bringing their styles down instead of bringing them up. Too many different chemicals on a daily basis will not only build up in your hair and leave it heavy and unhealthy they will also take away the soft touch that you want in your hair. Too much styling with products and tools can leave your hair looking so unnatural so more women need to take the time to find styles and looks that will enhance the best natural qualities of your hair.

Using A Flat Iron To Get Rid Of Lice

November 7, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment

Head lice are a problem for every child at one point and time in their life. These parasites are specially adapted at living on the human head and transmit easily from head to head by combs, caps, and other things that come in contact with the head. Many consider lice to be only a problem for those who do not keep their head clean and they feel like they will never get them. But in reality this is something anyone can get in his or her hair at any time.

Many parents spend hours treating their child’s head with chemicals and trying to comb out these pests, this is not a fun experience. But there may be a better way to rid your head of those lice. By using one of the ceramic straightening irons available on the market on the head you can literally fry the eggs of the lice and from there simply comb out the dead eggs as well as the hatched lice. A flat iron gets hot enough you can easily slide it from the root of the hair to the tip. The heat will kill the eggs and make it much easier to get the lice out.

If you have not been to the salon lately to get your hair straightened with chemical straighteners than you may be in for some sticker shock when you do decide to go. This is one very expensive hairstyle to get and one that could be done at home for a very small fraction of the cost. Of course the chemical straightening is permanent and will not come out of your hair until it grows out so you will not need to style it daily. The chemicals can be harsh though and you will not be able to do certain things to your hair such as color it without causing lots of harmful damage.

A hair straightening iron will only cost just about or over $100 and you can use it daily to straighten your hair with ease or not use it to have a different look for the day. Though this style will come out of your hair and need to be done again daily you will still be able to do whatever you want with your hair without fear of chemical overload causing too much damage. For many women it is a personal choice on whether to go with the chemical straight hair or the flat iron straight but with such a large price tag it can be easy to decide.

Many women hear about these miracle creams and gels that will straighten your hair if you simply use them on your hair. These products never work as they claim and you end up not only wasting your money but also placing more chemicals in your hair that will only end up causing damage to the health of your hair. The only real effective ways to get straight hair is by doing a chemical treatment at a salon, which can be costly and harsh on your hair or a hair straightening iron such as those from Chi and Karmin.

Many women blame their styling and hair care tools for damaged and even thinning hair when actually they may be blaming the wrong source. Many styling shampoos and styling products contain chemicals, which can not only dry out your hair but also interfere with the overall health of your tresses. If you think your hair styling tools are causing the damage to your hair you should also consider those shampoos and products you are using. Be on the look out for those that contain alcohol as well as any other chemicals, which will ultimately dry that hair out.

How To Get That Curly Hair You Want

October 22, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment

To get curl into otherwise straight hair women have a couple of choices to go with depending on how often they want the look and whether or not they want to subject their hair to chemicals. Curls can be achieved through hair curling irons or via a permanent done at the salon. Perms as they are called will remain in your hair until it grows and the curl is cut from the ends of the hair and involve a long process using chemicals to add these curls. This is good if you want curls for a very long time and do not want to change your look too often.

The other alternative is to get the curl into your hair using a hot curling iron every time you wash and style your hair. Some women feel that this way is more time consuming than the perm and not the best option while others like the freedom this allows. Since the curls are not permanent you can change the degree in which you curl your hair each day or choose not to curl it all and go straight once in awhile. Really one way of curling your hair is not better than the other it is just a matter of personal preference on what you prefer.
