In addressing the needs of the stylist who cuts multicultural hair, we wanted to create shears that could cut very thick, coarse, curly hair. We knew if they could tackle this hair, they could handle all the other hair types.
To give strength for coarse, thick hair we made our blades of top stainless steel with the heavy metal molybdenum as an alloy. Then we heat treated it to a high Rockwell hardness.
As a result of our efforts we discovered the Bonika International performs well on all hair types and on commercial or weave hair as well.
